Since 2015, Samadhan Abhiyan has been continuously working toward strengthening child protection systems, creating safer communities, and ensuring timely support for vulnerable and impacted children across Uttar Pradesh. Through sustained awareness campaigns, counselling interventions, legal support mechanisms, rehabilitation services, and institutional coordination, the organization has contributed significantly toward reducing silence around child sexual abuse and improving access to protection and justice.
Over the years, the initiative has reached lakhs of children, parents, teachers, adolescents, and community members through structured awareness workshops, school programs, community outreach activities, stakeholder meetings, and counselling sessions. These interventions have helped communities better understand child rights, the POCSO Act, reporting mechanisms, safe and unsafe touch, emotional well being, and the importance of timely intervention.
The establishment and strengthening of Child Friendly Centres across intervention districts has created accessible and trusted support systems for children and families. These centres have played a critical role in providing counselling, legal coordination, crisis response, rehabilitation support, medical referrals, and psychosocial care for children affected by abuse, violence, neglect, and other vulnerabilities.
The impact of these interventions has gone beyond awareness generation. Increased reporting of cases, improved coordination between police and legal authorities, faster intervention processes, and stronger community participation indicate growing trust in child protection mechanisms. Schools and institutions have become more responsive toward child safety concerns, while parents and communities have shown greater willingness to discuss and address issues that were previously ignored or hidden due to stigma and fear.
The organization has also contributed toward confidence building and empowerment among children through life skill development, counselling support, and self defense initiatives such as Kalarippayattu training. Many children who once required support and protection have gradually emerged as confident individuals and community volunteers, inspiring others to speak up and seek help.
